Don Messec 8×12″ Palladium Platinum prints
Great care was taken to make these shots of actual prints appear here as close to the actual print itself. This presents the delicate nature of Palladium-Platinum printing with hand brushed emulsion of on matte paper. The prints are naturally warm and soft of smooth inviting tones.
Each photograph was selected to represent an image with printing challenges, creating a collection of challenges as part of refining calibration of the negative to print process. The result are prints that come very close to screen match on first attempt using the exact same negative profile settings. Shot with a pocket Sony, Fujifilm ‘student camera’ to a Leica medium format to show that the process is receptive to any camera arrangement.
